With Brett Favre back in the fold in Minnesota, the team was supposed to get back on track and back in the hunt for a playoff spot. The team struggled, going 1-2. Then the team added former New England Patriot (and former Viking) Randy Moss back to the roster he had not been on since 2004. In their first game together, Moss and Favre only connected on four passes for 81 yards and a touchdown. The Vikings eventually succumbed to the surging New York Jets 29-20.

In the draft, the Vikings selected CB Chris Cook with the 34th overall selection, RB Tony Gerhart with the 51st overall selection and DE Everson Griffin with the 100th overall selection.  The offseason brought some new faces to the team to include RB Ryan Moats, DE Michael Montgomery and CB Lito Sheppard.  The team recently added Freddy Brown to the receiving corps with Harvin and Rice still out.

Injuries have already begun sneaking up on the franchise.  QB Brett Favre has been diagnosed with tendinitis in his throwing elbow, CB Chris Cook is still recovering from MCL surgery, C John Sullivan is still rehabbing his left calf and WR Sidney Rice is still on the physically unable to perform roster after undergoing hip surgery in the off-season.

The team has seen an increase of 20% in attendance this season attracting 64,000 fans thus far. This season should prove to be an exciting year for the Vikings!  Be sure to get your tickets before they are all gone and come out and support your Minnesota Vikings!
