Head Coach Brad Childress is in the final year of a four year contract and coming off a trip to the NFC Championships which ended in a loss to eventual Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints. Minnesota is looking to get back to the NFC Championships and at another shot at the Super Bowl. The big question is whether Brett Favre will be a part of the mix.

In the draft, the Vikings selected CB Chris Cook with the 34th overall selection, RB Tony Gerhart with the 51st overall selection and DE Everson Griffin with the 100th overall selection. The offseason brought some new faces to the team to include RB Ryan Moats, DE Michael Montgomery and CB Lito Sheppard. The team recently added Freddy Brown to the receiving corps with Harvin and Rice still out.

Injuries have already begun sneaking up on the franchise. WR Sidney Rice is suffering from a hip injury, CB Cedric Griffin is still rehabbing an ACL tear in his left knee suffered last season, CB Benny Sapp is suffering from post-dehydration.
The team has seen an increase of 20% this season attracting 64,000 fans thus far.
